SB account(Dormant) closure issue in DOP Finacle

DOP Finacle Solution : SB Dormant Account closure

In DOP Finacle, while doing closure in SB account it may show the error message like

HP2 C.I DR TRAN to DORMANT

which means Current Year Interest Transaction not possible in Dormant Account.

How its Work ?

At the time of SB Closure Verification the Current Year Interest (Closure Interest) automatically will be posted in SB account then it will be debited from the same to make the account NIL Balance.

Activate Dormant account in Finacle

• Make dormant SB account Status as Active
• In Finacle, Dormant means Silent

Issue Reported : Since the SB account being closed is dormant, the account closure transaction is not verified and give an error.

Solution

The closure transaction has to be cancelled on Supervisor then follow the below steps to account become live/active account. 

Steps as follows

1. Cancel the closure operation in HCAAC menu. While cancelling an user info will be shown that the transaction has to be manually reversed. After the  cancel operation in HCAAC, the transaction has to be deleted in HTM.
2. If the account has to be closed , then  after cancelling the transaction in HTM menu by selecting Modify function.
3. Modify the account status of the SB account in CASBAM menu from Silent to Live and verify the same on Supervisor Menu.
4. Close the account now in HCAAC and verify the same.
