OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: Suspension of booking of mail to USA in view of the suspension of Duty-Free De Minimis Treatment for all countries.
The undersigned is directed to refer to O.M. of even number dated 22.08.2025 on the subject mentioned above and to convey that the suspension of booking of mail to the USA has been reviewed. In view of the inability of carriers to transport U.S.-bound mail and undefined regulatory mechanisms, the competent authority has decided to completely suspend all categories of mail, including letters/documents and gifts value upto 100 USD, destined to the USA.
2. In line with this O.M., it is requested that refund of postage may be processed in cases where booked items cannot be dispatched to the United States due to these circumstances. Customers seeking a refund may submit a written application to the booking Post Office.

3. GM, CEPT to suspend booking for USA in the APT system and upload this OM on India Post website.
