Fix IPPB Finacle Error 95: Update Hosts File Guide

Error:
Applicable To:
  • DOP Users/Desktops
  • IPPB Users/Laptops

Solution for IPPB Users/Laptops:

  • Extract the attached Hosts file from the email.
  • Navigate to:
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
  • Replace the existing hosts file with the extracted one.

Solution for DOP Users/Desktops:

  • Press Windows + R → Type drivers → Press Enter.
  • Open the etc folder.
  • Locate the hosts file → Copy it to the Desktop.
  • Open the copied file using Notepad.

Look for an entry like:

172.31.228.110 cbslb001.ippb.in
Delete this line or comment it out by adding # at the beginning.
  • Add the following entry at the end of the file:
172.23.228.110 cbslb001.ippb.in

 

  • Save the file in Notepad.
  • Copy the updated hosts file from the Desktop and paste it back into the etc folder.
  • Select Replace the file when prompted.
  • Provide admin credentials if required.
  • Press Ctrl + Alt + Del → Open Task Manager → End the task for Microsoft Edge.
  • Try opening Finacle again.
Example hosts file entry:
This SOP resolves the Finacle connectivity issue by correcting the IP address mapping for cbslb001.ippb.in in the system's hosts file.
