Recruitment Method (As per GSR 459(E) dated 17.06.2022):

• 40% by Promotion through Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE)
• 60% by Direct Recruitment through Open Competition

Eligibility Criteria for Promotion:

• Part-A: Officials in Level 1/2/3 with 3-5 years of regular service
• Part-B: Officials in Level 1/2/3 with 8 years total service (including GDS service)

Selection Process:

• Single merit list prepared at Circle level
• Division allocation based on merit and preference
• Paper-III (DEST) is qualifying; final merit based on Paper-I marks only

Minimum Qualifying Marks:
