Subject: Draft Seniority List of Stenographer Grade-I as on 01.01.2018 / 2019/ 2020/2021 /2022 -reg.

Madam/Sir,

I am directed to enclose herewith the inter-se draft seniority list of Stenographers Grade-I as on 01.01.2018/2019/2020/2021/2022 prepared by the Directorate on the basis of information received from the Circles after adopting following criteria:

i. The date of regular promotion order or effective date of promotion in Stenographer Grade-I whichever is earlier;

ii. in case of a tie, the date of regular promotion order or effective date of promotion in Stenographer Grade-II whichever is earlier;

iii. in case of a tie, the date of joining in Stenographer Grade-III;

iv. in case of a tie, the date of birth of the official;

v. in case of even tie in the date of birth of the official, the name of the officer in the alphabetical order.

The aforementioned seniority list is being prepared in continuation of Directorate’s letter 05-05/2017-SPB-I dated 07.12.2020 followed by corrigendum dated 20.04.2022 and 11.11.2024 vide which Final Seniority list of Stenographer Grade-I as on 01.01.2017 was finalized. Therefore, these officials are placed in the seniority list from serial no. 423 onward.

Circles are requested that the draft Seniority list of Stenographer Grade-I as on 01.01.2018/2019/2020/2021/2022 may be made available to all concerned officials to enable them making representation, if any, to the Circle and not to the Directorate. In no circumstances, direct representation from the officials shall be entertained in the Directorate. After receiving of the representations, the same may be settled at the Circle level itself.

Circles are requested to provide a certificate to the effect that representation, if any, of official(s) received by the Circle in respect to the draft Seniority list have been taken into consideration and has been disposed. A soft copy of the same may also be sent to this office through e-mail (adgspn@indiapost.gov.in) by 2[nd] December, 2025 for finalization of the Seniority List as on 01.01.2018/2019/2020/2021/2022.
