Subject: Administrative instructions in respect of certain regulations of the Post Office Regulations, 2024 – reg.
The Administrative Instructions issued vide PO Order No. 01/2024 dated 16.12.2024 stands modified as under:
The following sub-clause shall be inserted after sub-clause (F)(7)(o):
(p) - The separate license apart from the postal registration required for transmission of newspaper by post without pre-payment of postage may be cancelled by the concerned Head of Circle/ Head of Region under whose jurisdiction it is published, on the written request of the customer.
The following sub-clause shall be inserted after sub-clause (F)(8)(b):
(c) - The Head of Division or the independent Gazetted Postmaster, empowered to grant postal registration of a newspaper, under whose jurisdiction the newspaper is posted or sought to be posted, may cancel the Postal Registration of a newspaper on the written request of the customer.
2. Rest of the instructions issued vide PO Order No. 01/2024 dated 16.12.2024 and PO Order No.- 02/2025 holds good.
3. This issues with the approval of DG (Postal Services).
