Aadhaar Enrolment & Update – Important Document List

UIDAI has issued updated lists of documents accepted for Aadhaar enrolment and update:

1️⃣ List-I (Age: 0-5 Years) Documents accepted for Proof of Identity, Address, Relationship & Date of Birth for children below 5 years.

2️⃣ List-II (Age: 5 – <18 Years) Documents accepted for Aadhaar enrolment of children 5 to under 18 years.

3️⃣ List-III (Age: 18+ Years) Documents accepted for Aadhaar enrolment for adults above 18 years.

Includes: 

✔️ Passport

✔️ Voter ID

✔️ Driving Licence

✔️ Ration Card

✔️ Government service cards

✔️ Bills, rent agreements, insurance, etc.

4️⃣ List-IV (Aadhaar Update – Any Age) Documents accepted for updating Aadhaar details—identity, address, relationship or date of birth.

📌 Special categories covered:

• Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)
• Nepal/Bhutan nationals
• Long Term Visa holders
• Other foreign nationals

These lists include proofs like:

✔️ Birth certificate

✔️ Passport

✔️ DCPO certificate

✔️ Marksheet

✔️ Job card

✔️ Pension ID

✔️ Gas/Water/Electricity bill

✔️ Marriage certificate

✔️ Bank passbook

✔️ PAN based documents etc.
