OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Extension of ad-hoc promotion of Postal Service (PS), Group 'B' officers to Junior Time Scale (JTS) of Indian Postal Service (IPOS), Group 'A' in the Level-10 (Rs. 56100-177500) of the Pay Matrix.

The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department's Order of even number dated 02.02.2024 on the subject matter and to state that the ad-hoc promotion of Postal Service (PS), Group 'B' officers to Junior Time Scale (JTS) of Indian Postal Service (IPOS), Group 'A' be continued for a further period not exceeding beyond one year from the end of the current one- year term from assumption of charge on ad-hoc promotion or till their regular promotion in JTS of IPOS, Group 'A' or till the date of superannuation/VRS or till further orders, whichever is the earliest (except for officers retired on superannuation and where ad-hoc promotion has been terminated). The extension of the ad-hoc arrangement is subject to the approval of DoP&T and extant guidelines issued by DoP&T in this matter.

2. The terms and conditions of extension of ad-hoc promotion shall remain same as stipulated in the Department's Order dated 02.02.2024.

3. The extension of ad-hoc promotion may be terminated anytime without granting any reasons.
