Subject: Rectification of Undue Interest Posting in PPF (HUF) Accounts due to improper tagging of PPF (HUF).

Madam/Sir,

This is to inform that the Audit has pointed out instances of undue interest posting in Public Provident Fund (PPF) accounts categorized under Hindu Undivided Family (HUF) by the system.

This issue was identified due to the improper tagging of PPF (HUF) accounts during the data migration to the Core Banking Solution (CBS).

It is therefore requested that instructions may be issued to all field units to exercise proper caution of identifying PPF(HUF) account while closing the accounts and to ensure follow up of instructions issued vide SB Order 03/2013 dated 12.03.2013.

This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority.
