Clarification regarding functioning of Post Offices and RMS Offices in Delhi/New Delhi on 12th and 13th September, 2026

📬 Summary:  

• The Department of Posts has clarified the operational schedule of postal services in Delhi during the 18th BRICS Leaders’ Summit (12th–13th September 2026).

Post Offices Closure:

• Post Offices in Delhi Circle will remain closed on 12.09.2026 (Saturday) and 13.09.2026 (Sunday), as these days are declared holidays.

RMS/TMO Operations:

• RMS Offices and Transit Mail Offices (TMOs) in Delhi will remain open and functional on 11th, 12th, and 13th September 2026.
• Delhi Circle must ensure uninterrupted functioning and necessary arrangements for mail operations during this period.

Approval:

The order is issued with the approval of the Competent Authority.
