• Mode of Recruitment:
• Deputation/Absorption from Department of Posts.

Eligibility Conditions:

• Officials from Department of Posts: Regular Dispatch Riders or Group‑C employees in Level 1 with valid driving license for light & heavy motor vehicles, subject to trade/driving test.
• Officials from other Ministries/Departments: Regular Dispatch Riders or Group‑C employees in Level 1 with:
• Valid driving license (light & heavy vehicles).
• Knowledge of motor mechanism (ability to remove minor defects).
• Minimum 3 years’ driving experience (light & heavy vehicles).
• Pass in 10th Standard.

Armed Forces Personnel: Those due to retire or transfer to reserve within one year, with required qualifications and experience.

• Other Key Provisions:
• Pay & Allowances: Level 2 of Pay Matrix + admissible allowances.
• Age Limit: Maximum 56 years as on closing date of applications.
• Period of Deputation: Normally not exceeding 3 years.
• Reservation: No SC/ST reservation for deputation/absorption basis.
• Probation: Two years for re‑employed candidates.

Application Process: Applications in prescribed proforma (Annexure‑I) with integrity certificate, vigilance clearance, penalty record, and attested ACRs/APARs (2020‑21 to 2025‑26) must be forwarded through proper channel within 30 days of publication in Employment News.

Trade Test/Driving Test: Pattern & syllabus issued vide Postal Directorate letter No. 08‑01/2019‑SPN‑I dated 17.06.2022 (Annexure‑III).

The notification emphasizes that applications not routed properly or lacking required documents will not be entertained, and candidates cannot withdraw their candidature later.
