Speed Net 4.1.1 Up-gradation Procedure, Issues and Solution

Procedure to Upgrade  Speed Net 4.1.1 

Speed Net 4.1.1 auto upgradation is failure, so that we have to upgrade the Speed Net 4.1.1 manually(i.e using Speednet One Updater).

Pre-requisites 

Speed Net 4.1 and EMS Client Should be in v4.1

Common issues

In Most offices we are facing the below issues even we have upgraded to v4.1.1 without follow the below procedure before up-gradation.

Error Message 

Attempt to login with old version of speednet detected. Please Upgrade to the latest version of Speednet 4.1.1 relaese dated 02/12/2013 and then try login.

In this case we can execute script Manually using Script Tool but again we are not able to login, due to non updation version information in POSPCC database.

Just for Info

Due to availability of old db scripts folder, installer1, updater1, in installation of speednet Client folder location (C:\Program files\SpeedNet) only this issue occurred.

Procedure to Upgrade v4.1.1 and Overcome the above Issues

1. Take POSPCC backup (Very Important).
2. Exit Speed Net Related Application such as Speed Net Client, Communication in both server and node.

Check List before Upgrade

1. Check whether any Old Scripts, installer, Speed Net Client folder available in Speed Net Installation Folder.
2. If exist just Delete the same before upgrade.

Upgrade

1. Speed Net One Updater only enough to Upgrade v4.1.1 .
2. Execute the Speed Net One updater browse the location of  Speed Net Installation folder.
3. Click On Upgrade button to execute all scripts and Upgrade the latest.
