Login to Active Directory using employee ID procedure & Changing AD User Password

Active Directory is used to login India Post employees in the PC connected with India Post Domain while on deputation. Further, the accessing of webportal and other application related  to India Post is easy through Domain login.

The system must be joined to AD as per the procedure provided by CEPT

Click on Switch User option as shown in the image above

Now click on the Other User option

Type in your employee ID as username and initial password communicated by DO and press enter

Now the system will prompt user to change password. Click on OK

Enter employee ID as user name [oldpassword] as old password, provide a new password and confirm it and press enter. From now on the new password entered will be the login password of the system for the employee

• After sometime system will show a message Your Password has been changed. Click on OK 
• Please note, for the first time it will take some time for the system to prepare desktop

• The system will log you into the AD user account. Similar procedure can be followed for windows 10 system also.
• No need to add any user account locally in the system.
• For the first time of setting up a user profile in the system WAN connectivity is required. After that user can log in to the system even without internet
