APT Booking Issues and Solutions

Problem: The current booking solution allows all Points of Sale (POS), including Branch Offices (BOs), to search for pincodes among over 1.54 lakh postal pincodes. This creates a massive server load, especially with approximately 1 lakh POS potentially searching for a single pincode simultaneously.

Proposed Solutions

1. Restrict Pincode Access: Limit pincode availability to only Departmental Head Offices (HOs) and Sub Offices (SOs), excluding Branch Offices (BOs), to reduce server load and improve performance.

2. Disable Pincode Search: Disable the pincode search/fetch feature and enable user input in the pincode field, allowing users to directly enter the pincode instead of searching for it.

These solutions aim to optimize server performance, reduce load, and streamline the booking process.
