Decision: Department to provide e-bikes in metro cities; ergonomic bag design to be considered. New IDC (Integrated Delivery Centers) only with proper infrastructure (expected Dec 2025).

Demand: Increase time norms (12 mins/km congested, 6 mins/km non-congested).

Decision: Current norms (3 mins congested, 6 mins non-congested) may be revised after a proper work study.

Meeting with Minister

Demand: Direct meeting with Hon’ble Minister regarding IDC issues.

Decision: Minister already meeting staff in workshops/seminars.

Sorting Duties
-
Demand: Ensure Sorting Postmen/Head Postmen roles in IDC.

Decision: Sorting to be done by Postmen; proposal to assign Sr. Postmen similar duties under consideration.

Fuel Charges
-
Demand: Increase to ₹6/km.

Decision: Review underway; final decision by 30.09.2025.

IDC in Metro Cities
-
Demand: Stop IDC in metro cities due to impracticality.

Decision: Issues to be reviewed case by case by MO Division.

Leave Arrangements
-
Demand: Deploy LR Postmen; if unavailable, use GDS/ODP staff.

Decision: Clarification issued (26.06.2025) – adequate staff provisions allowed.

Additional Duties
-
Demand: Extra tasks (UTI verification, parcel delivery, etc.) should be counted as workload, not incentives.
-
Decision: Pending incentives to be disbursed; new budget provision for incentives to be framed.

Mobile Phones

Demand: Department should provide mobiles.

Decision: BYOD policy revised – ₹500/month reimbursement; interest-free loan option under review.

Vacancy Filling

Demand: Fill vacant posts before IDC rollout.

Decision: Exams on 30.08.2025 to cover all backlog vacancies.

Insurance Cover

Demand: Medical & accident insurance of ₹1 crore.

Decision: Explore cost-effective insurance via IPPB; premium to be paid by employees.
