    Guidelines for Distribution and Activation of New SIM Cards

    To: All Branch/Banking Outlets/Regional/Circle Offices

    New Telecom Service Provider: M/s Reliance JIO Communications has been selected. JIO SIM cards will be the first preference.

    Distribution of SIM Cards

    Eligibility: Only ACTIVE End Users (GDS, BPM, GDS SUB45, SUB90) from the AMS dump dated 10th July 2025.

    Replacement Policy:

    • Existing Airtel and Vodafone Idea SIMs will be replaced.
    • Existing BSNL SIMs will continue for a few more days.
    • Existing active JIO SIM connections shall be retained.

    Dispatch Details:

    • Distribution Dept. will share SOL ID-wise dispatch details.
    • A buffer of 5-7% extra SIMs will be dispatched.
    • For unmanned outlets, SIMs sent to nearest branch with official charge.

    Receipt & Reporting:

    • Report receipt count to Regional Office.
    • Highlight any discrepancies in received count vs. dispatch details.

    Request for More SIMs: Use Annexure A - Certificate for New SIM for bulk requests.

    Activation of Blank SIM Cards

    Process:

    • Distribute blank SIMs and collect POI/POA documents.
    • Correctly fill Annexure B - New Sim Activation Format.

    Handover Documentation:

    • Fill Annexure C – Sim Format for each SIM handed over.
    • Must be signed by EU & Branch Manager and kept for audit.
    • No fields should be left blank unless specified.

    Daily Submission for Activation:

    • Collate Annexure B daily and share with Circle SPOC via Regional Office.
    • Data must reach SIM Operations team before 3:00 PM daily.
    • Direct submission by individual branches will not be accepted.

    Activation/Deactivation Communication:

    • Existing SIMs remain active until the new one is activated.
    • Old physical SIM card must be destroyed by the EU after deactivation.

    Network Assessment

    Process for Complaints:

    • Use Annexure D - COORDINATE Connectivity Status for network issues.
    • No circle/branch should directly engage any other Telecom Service Provider.

    Important Points to Note

    For Existing JIO Users:

    • Fill Annexure B but leave the 'New SIM No.' column blank.
    • Must reach SIM operations team by 31st August 2025 to avoid deactivation.

    Branch Manager SIM:

    • Each shipment includes 1 extra SIM for branch usage.
    • Must be activated in the name of the Branch Manager.
    • This SIM must not be given to any EU.

    Faulty SIMs: Use Annexure E - SIM swap activation format for swaps.
