Post Office Identity Card (POID)

An Official ID and Valuable Retail Product of India Post

Issued by the Department of Posts (DoP) as per Clause 63 of the PO Guide Part I, the POID card serves as an official identity document and a valued retail service.

How to Apply & Key Details:

• Get the Form: Available at all Post Offices for ₹20 or downloadable from the India Post website.
• Submit & Pay: Tender the completed form with a processing fee of ₹250.
• Verification: Your application will be verified by a Postman or official before recommendation.
• Quick Issuance: The POID card will be issued within 15 days of the Head Post Office receiving your application.
• Validity: The card is valid for 3 years from the date of issue.
