The Executive Committee meeting of the Central Government Employees Welfare Co-ordination Committee was held on 04/12/2025 at 04.30 p.m. to consider the following:

(1) Finalization the list of Holidays for the Year 2026;
(2) Any other matter with the permission of the Chair

2. The meeting was chaired by Ms.Anim Cherian, IA&AS, Principal Accountant General (A&E), Tamilnadu at her office at 361, Anna Salai, Teynampet,Chennai-600018.

4.The Chairman of CGEWCC, Ms.Anim Cherian, IAAS welcomed the participants. After the introduction of participating members who attended the meeting, the Chairman requested the Executive Secretary Smt. P.Revathi to proceed with the following agenda:

(1) To finalize three holidays in addition to the 14 compulsory holidays declared by DoPT, New Delhi.

(2) Any other matter with permission of the Chair.

5. The Chairman further suggested that along with inclusion of 3 Holidays in addition to the list of 14 compulsory holidays declared by the DoPT vide O.M. F. No. 12/2/2023-JCA dated 03/07/2025, the members may also consider appropriate addition / deletion to the Restricted holiday list keeping in view the occasion of local importance as per directions in para 4 of the said OM.

6. During discussions, the following three days were unanimously agreed to be included in the list of closed holidays for the year 2026.

7. The Restricted Holiday list was also reviewed and the additions /deletions suggested by the members were also agreed and fresh list of Restricted holidays drawn up.

8. The final approved list of Closed Holidays and Restricted Holidays are annexed.
