THE MESSAGE OF CENTRAL WORKING COMMITTEE MEETING, BGDKS

Dear Colleagues,

‘Sadar Namaskar’

The Central Working Committee Meeting of the Bharatiya Gramin Dak Karmachari Sangh was successfully held on 13rd December, 2025 at Haridwar, Uttrakhand. The meeting was held under the Presidentship of Shri Birendra Prasad Mehta, Vice-President (CHQ), BGDKS. The meeting was attended by Chief Guests Shri M.P. Singh Ji, Postal Prabhari, BMS and members from 12 CWC and 15 Circle Secretaries of BGDKS.

The Central Working Committee meeting commenced at around 7 P.M. with the introductory session of the meeting, which was addressed by the General Secretary of BGDKS. After the introduction, the General Secretary highlighted the issues and Agenda for discussion. All the Office Bearers of the CHQ and Circle Secretaries placed their views and discussed extensively various burning GDS issues including the 8th Pay Commission, Stopping harassment of GDS staff in the name of target fulfilment, GDS Posts Abolish and etc. The Circle Secretary of Assam Circle delivered an elaborate speech on all the GDS problems and major demands. The General Secretary, Shri Dinesh Kumar Ray explanation of the various GDS issues at length and provided suitable and appropriate replies to the queries raised by some Circle Secretaries. The Honorable Chief Guests M.P. Singh Ji delivered valuable speech on issues of GDS employees and their possible solutions, and development of postal Department.

The CWC Meeting ended successfully with vote of thanks by Shri Dinesh Kumar Ray, General Secretary of Bharatiya Gramin Dak Karmachari Sangh, CHQ.

THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTIONS/DEMANDS IN THE CENTRAL WORKING COMMITTEE MEETING FOR ACCEPTANCE AND THE HOUSE ADOPTED THE RESOLUTIONS UNANIMOUSLY:

Include the Gramin Dak Sevaks in the Eighth Central Pay Commission, OR

Constitute a separate High-Level Pay Commission Committee headed by a Judge of the Hon’ble Supreme Court exclusively for the GDS cadre.

Kindly stop the harassment (Pay held up, Put off duty, Transfer and office will be shut down, etc) of GDS employees in the name of achieving targets.

Stop the abolition of GDS posts and the relocation of Branch Post Offices in rural areas across the country.
