Subject: Inviting nominations for APPU Workshop on 'Express Mail Service (EMS)' and 'Financial Inclusion Through Posts (FIP)' scheduled to be held from 26-30 Jan, 2025 - reg.
With reference to communication received from the Asian-Pacific Postal Union (APPU), Bangkok, vide Letter No. 26/16/457 (25)-VS/ss dated 28.10.2025 and 26/15/456 (25)-VS/kh dated 29.10.2025 (copies enclosed), nominations are invited for participation in the workshops on 'Express Mail Service (EMS)' and 'Financial Inclusion Through Posts (FIP)' scheduled to be held from 26-30 Jan, 2025 at APPU, Bangkok, Thailand.
2.The EMS workshop aims to enhance operational efficiency in EMS through understanding business planning, standards, tracking systems, performance measurement and pay-for-performance frameworks, offering participants the opportunity to improve delivery performance and operational excellence while also benefiting from international exposure and knowledge exchange. Moreover, FITP workshop aims to build capacity in formulating strategies and adopting best practices for promoting financial inclusion through postal networks, including digital financial services, financial literacy, and quality and security measures, thereby enabling participants to contribute to expanding sustainable financial services to the unbanked.
3.In view of the above, it is requested to forward the nomination obne (01) suitable official/officer, as per the target audience mentioned below and in accordance with the enclosed training nomination format, to this office latest by 31 December 2025:
4. It is informed that officials/officers should be nominated solely after confirming their availability for the entire duration of the scheduled training.
Moreover, it is to be noted that any official/officer who, after being nominated, fails to attend the training due to personal reasons may be debarred from attending any training programs for a period of one year. It is also mentioned that officers nominated shall not be deputed for the programmes/workshops until a communication in this regard is received from the Training Division, Dak Bhawan.
This issues with the approval of Competent Authority.
