India Post Activates 887 ATMs Nationwide, Boosting Financial Inclusion and Customer Convenience

Dear CPMG,

This is regarding activation of DOP ATMs across the country. I would like to extend a big congratulations to the entire team of the Circles for extending support in making 887 ATMs go live for the public. The leadership and coordinated efforts demonstrated by the Circles has been pivotal in achieving this milestone.

There are 24 ATMs which are presently undergoing renovation and are expected to go live in next few months. The status of the remaining ATMs will be reviewed separately and decision so taken will be conveyed to the concerned Circles shortly.

You may now setup a Circle level Monitoring Cell for monitoring transactions in the ATMs, downtime and other day to day operational issues at the ATM sites. Simultaneously, a concerted publicity and awareness campaign may be initiated through Social media/ Print Media/ Post Offices, for ensuring visibility, customer outreach, and optimal utilization of ATM services.

I am confident that with requisite focus on monitoring, publicity, and operational efficiency, the ATM infrastructure of Department of Posts will continue to contribute meaningfully towards financial inclusion and customer convenience.
