Increasing Digital Transactions for Cash on Delivery (CoD) payments

Subject: Increasing Digital Transactions for Cash on Delivery (CoD) payments

The Department of Posts reviewed March 2026 data and found minimal improvement in digital CoD payments, with the all-India average at only 0.8%.

  • Target: 25% digital transactions by April 2026, rising to 40% by May 2026.
  • CEPT has developed monitoring tools for daily performance tracking at Circle, Region, Division, and Post Office levels.
  • Circles must form monitoring groups, brief frontline staff, and submit nodal officer details (names, designations, contact numbers) to the Parcel Directorate by 13.04.2026.
  • Weekly video conferences will be held with selected Circles to review progress.
