Temporary Transfer Policy – India Post (Group ‘B’ & ‘C’ Officials)

• Temporary transfers in India Post for Group 'B' and 'C' officials are permitted for a maximum of three years in the entire service, either in one or two spells. Such transfers require a three-year gap between spells and are generally allowed for special circumstances like spouse employment or medical grounds, rather than personal convenience
• Inter-Circle transfers require approval from the Directorate on recommendations of the CPMsG.
• Intra-Circle: Allowed within the same administrative circle under similar conditions but approved by the Circle Head.
