Subject: Dissemination of RTI awareness during training programmes - reg.

With a view to enhancing awareness and understanding of the provisions of the RTI Act, 2005, it has been observed that all Postal Training Centres (PTCs), Regional Training Centres (RTCs), and Circles (WTCs) shall incorporate appropriate measures in their training programmes.

In this regard, it is requested that during the training of operative heads, necessary emphasis may be laid on dissemination of information, specially on Do's and Don'ts, relating to the RTI Act. The participants may also be encouraged to further circulate the relevant information among public authorities under their jurisdiction so as to promote wider participation in programmes aimed at strengthening understanding of the RTI framework.

It is further informed that course on Right to Information (Prarambh) developed by the Department of Posts are available on the iGOT Karmayogi online learning platform. The same may be accessed at: https://portal.igotkarmayogi.gov.in (portal.igotkarmayogi.gov.in in Bing) All concerned CPIO/APIO may be encouraged to undertake the course.
