Therefore, all units are requested to direct the employees in their Unit / Division to submit their Post-Facto Leave applications within the prescribed timeline of 30 days to avoid any inconvenience.

This may be brought to the notice of all concerned.

APT Leave Management System (LMS): Post-Facto Leave Applications Permitted Only Within 30 Days

The Department of Posts has issued an important clarification regarding the submission of Post-Facto Leave applications through the APT Leave Management System (LMS).

The matter was brought to the attention of the CEPT Technical Team after employees reported difficulties in submitting Post-Facto Leave applications beyond one month from the leave date. Upon examination, CEPT confirmed that the system is functioning exactly as per the prescribed leave management rules.

Under the existing provisions, employees can submit Post-Facto Leave applications only within 30 days from the date of leave. Applications submitted after this period will not be accepted by the system. Additionally, Future Leave applications can be submitted up to 150 days in advance.

CEPT has clarified that the 30-day limit for Post-Facto Leave is a built-in system restriction implemented in accordance with departmental rules and is not a technical issue.

In view of this, all Postal Circles, Divisions, and Units are requested to sensitize employees about the prescribed timelines and ensure timely submission of leave applications. Employees who fail to apply within the stipulated period will be unable to submit their requests through the APT LMS portal.

Officials and staff are therefore advised to complete all leave-related formalities promptly to avoid inconvenience and ensure smooth processing of leave requests.
