Lien Marking in an account :

• Lien Means placing a hold on an account.
• Lien Marking can be done using the menu option HALM/ACLNM
• There are two types of Lien

1. System Lien
2. User Lien

• Lien can be for partial or for an entire balance in the account

Freeze

1. Freezing is imposing restriction on an account.
2. A frozen account does not allow any transactions.
3. Freezing can only be for debit, credit or both.

Stop Payment

1. Stopping the payment of the cheque as requested by the customer.
2. Stop payment of a cheque can be done using the menu option HSPP/CHSTOP
3. The stop payment request needs verification using the menu option HSPPAU.
4. Revocation is allowed through menu option HSPP/CHSTOP
