Winning awards has become a matter of habit for Mumbai GPO, arguably the country's No. 1 post office in terms of scale and efficiency of operations. The post office maintained this tradition in the recently announced Maharashtra Postal Circle Annual Awards for 2015-16 as well. It has been selected as the best in the Circle in Delivery of Speed Post Articels. It also won the first runner up position for its Central Processing Centre (CPC) of Postal Life Insure, for service request completion.
