Subject: Processing of Voluntary Retirement applications in respect of IP/ASP Cadre – regarding.

Key Points:
  • Some Circles are forwarding Voluntary Retirement applications of Inspector Posts (IP) and Assistant Superintendent of Posts (ASP) cadre to the Directorate, even though the Competent Appointing Authority for these posts lies within the Circle itself.
  • The revision of Appointing Authority for the IP/ASP cadre is under consideration in the Directorate. Until a formal notification is issued, the existing delegation of powers remains unchanged.
  • Circles are instructed to inform the Directorate only after a decision is taken by the Competent Authority in the Circle, as per current protocols.
  • Strict compliance with these instructions is required.
