OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Calling for willingness to work in DAC/GIS Cell established in CEPT, Bengaluru.

This is regarding Department’s Digital Address Ecosystem initiative aimed for standardized, geo-coded addressing system in the country, ensuring simplified addressing solutions for citizen-centric delivery of public and private services to establish “Address as a Service” (AaaS) in India.

2. In this context, it has been decided to create a GIS Cell in CEPT, Bengaluru, with the following composition, to dedicatedly work on enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the GIS related tasks:

a. Assistant Director - 1

b. Postal Assistant – 3

3. The Notification in this respect along-with the details in respect of desirable skill set and experience are enclosed herewith.

4. Interested Officer/officials may register their willingness through the CEPT website at https://cept.gov.in/willingness/candidateform.aspx from 11-07-2025. The last date and time to submit the details is 26-07-2025.

5. It is requested to take all necessary actions to disseminate the information to the field units under jurisdiction of your Circle.

6. This issues with the approval of the competent authority.

NOTIFICATION

Subject: Calling for willingness to work in Centre for Excellence in Postal Technology [CEPT].

Department has decided to create a GIS cell in CEPT for the Digital Address Ecosystem initiate aimed for standardized, Geo Coded addressing system in the Country, ensuring simplified addressing solutions for Citizen Centric delivery of public and private services to establish "Address as a Service"(AaaS) in India.

2. Approval has been obtained from the Competent Authority for creation of DAC/GIS Cell at CEPT with a dedicated team to significantly enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the GIS related tasks with the following composition:

a. Assistant Director - 1

b. Postal Assistant – 3

3. The technology stacks and experience sought for is detailed in Annexure- I. Accordingly, Willingness from eligible Officer/officials in the cadre of Assistant Director Postal Services and Postal Assistants who possess the Knowledge and Skills.

4. Application and Selection Process:

a. Interested Officer/officials may register their willingness in the website at https://cept.gov.in/willingness/candidateform.aspx with effect from 11-07-2025

b. The last date and time to submit the details is 26-07-2025.

c. The selection process will be done through screening and interview of candidates by the Panel.

5. Location:

The preferable working location shall be CEPT Bengaluru. However, deserving cases who possesses the requisite knowledge of GIS or the application development, shall be considered for working from current working location, subject to availability of infrastructure for work.

6. Appointment & Posting:

a. Officer or officials selected should report in CEPT at the earliest.

b. Officer or officials will be posted on the establishment of CEPT.

c. Allowances to the Officer or officials posted on establishment will be drawn by CEPT at the rate applicable to CEPT Bengaluru or, in case of candidate working remotely from their respective/current working locations, as per the rates admissible to Officers/officials current working location.

7. To ensure widespread awareness and encourage suitable candidates to apply, it is requested to cause wide circulation among all the staff members.
