Subject:Redesignation of some of the posts of DDGs/GM and redistribution of work amongst the DDGs of the Postal Directorate and General Manager of Business Development Directorate. The Department of Posts is modernizing and transforming into a technology-driven network by implementing key initiatives such as:
- IT 2.0 Project
- Digital Address Code (DIGIPIN)
- Establishment of Parcel Logistic Organization (including Parcel and Mail Optimization Project)
- Expansion of Road Transport Network
- Mail Network Rationalization
- Introduction of new Citizen Centric Schemes
Decisions Taken:
- Change in designations of some posts.
- Redistribution of work among Deputy Director Generals (DDGs) and the General Manager (Business Development).
