Subject: Clarification regarding Administrative Powers vested for Opening/Upgradation/Relocation of Branch/Sub Post Offices — Para 7 of Establishment Division O.M. dated 17.02.2025
This is in continuation of this Division's O.M. of even no. dated 17.02.2025, regarding administrative powers for establishment matters.
The undersigned is directed to convey the following clarification and amendment:
➤ The administrative powers under SI. No. 7 have been amended.
➤ The revised powers for the opening, relocation, redeployment, and upgradation of Branch/Sub Post Offices are now as follows:
➤ Authorities continue to have full powers in accordance with the guidelines of Postal Directorate letter no. 40-4/2002-Plg dated 06.01.2003.
➤ However, these powers must now be exercised in consultation with the concerned Internal Financial Advisor (IFA).
This issues with the approval of competent authority.
