Purpose: To announce the development and rollout of the citizen-centric Dak Sewa Mobile App (for Android and iOS) by the Department of Posts.

Key Request: Provide wide publicity for the app through post offices, social media, and customer awareness initiatives.

The app serves as a unified digital platform for postal, financial, and insurance services. Its features are:

Article and Money Order Tracking: For Speed Post, Registered items, Parcels, Business Parcels, and Electronic Money Orders.
Post Office Search: Find post offices by name or PIN code; view details, locate on Google Maps, and call.
Postage Calculator: Calculate tariffs for letters, parcels, and Speed Post (which varies by distance).
Complaints Management: Register, track, and receive alerts for complaints.
Insurance Premium Calculator: Check premiums for Postal Life Insurance (PLI) and Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) policies.
Interest Calculator: Calculate interest for Small Savings Schemes (e.g., Sukanya Samriddhi, Recurring Deposit, NSC, etc.).
Domestic & International Booking: Book domestic and international mail items.
Money Order Booking: Book Money Orders.
Customer Registration & Contract Management: Register customers and manage contracts.
QR-based Payments: Make payments via QR codes.
Post Box Registration: Register for a post office box.
Article Recall: Initiate a recall for a sent article.
E-Receipt/E-POD: Generate electronic receipts and Proof of Delivery.
Franchise Operations: Manage franchise-related activities.

Tracking: Users can track the status of various mail items by entering the article number.
Post Office Search: Includes a feature to find the nearest post office.
Postage Calculator: Calculates cost based on weight and, for Speed Post, distance (local, up to 200 km, 201-1000 km, etc.).
Interest Calculator: Covers schemes like Sukanya Samriddhi, MIS, SCSS, NSC, KVP, and various Time Deposits.
