Sir/Madam,

I am directed to refer to your letter No. PAO/RD/3/1- 16/4222 dated 07.10.2025 on the above-mentioned subject and to reiterate that the provisions regarding eligibility for reimbursement of the cost of briefcase/office bag/ladies purse, based on the level and equivalence of officials/officers, have been clearly outlined in Directorate's OM No. PP- 38/1/2020- PAP dated 05.12.2024.

Senior Accountants are not considered equivalent to Inspector of Posts for the purpose of this entitlement.

This issues with the approval of the competent authority.
