New IMS Software (by CEPT) – Expected Launch: September 2026

Major Features:

✅ Customers can fill proposal forms online through App / Website / Self-Service Portal

✅ Forms can also be submitted in assisted mode with the help of Postal Staff or Direct Agents

✅ Manual form filling and manual data entry at CPCs will be eliminated

✅ Maturity payments will be credited directly to customers’ linked bank accounts

✅ Non-medical policies can be purchased online through e-KYC verification (with CPC approval)

📉 Expected Impact:

* Reduced workload at CPCs

* Less data entry, checks, and approvals

* Possible rationalization / merger of CPCs to reduce operational costs

📱 Customers will also be able to upload documents and submit requests online through the Self-Service Portal or App, with assistance available from Postal Staff up to BO level or Direct Agents, thereby avoiding the need to visit CPCs.
