Subject: Amendment to Regulation 133 – Enhancement of Insurance Limit.

This is regarding the amendment to Regulation 133 of the Post Office Regulations, concerning the enhancement of the insurance limit for domestic accountable items from “One Lakh” to “Five Lakh.”

The Gazette Notification dated 25 March 2026 for the Post Office (Third Amendment) Regulations, 2026 is enclosed herewith for information and further dissemination to all offices of the Department.
