Subject: Ensuring uninterrupted functioning of DoP ATMs. Ref: Letter no. 25-20/2017 dated 18.11.2025

This is regarding review of functioning of ATMs after office hours. On analysis of the operational status of ATMs, it was found that on an average more than 100 ATMs are rendered non-functional after office hours, due to either interruption in power supply or turning off of the network switch routers leading to lack of network connectivity. (Annexure - Day wise list)

Since ATMs are intended to provide 24×7 banking services to customers, such disconnections after office hours adversely affects service availability and leads to inconvenience to the public. The same was also conveyed vide letter referred above.

In this regard, all Circles are once again requested to review the status of ATM sites under their jurisdiction and take immediate corrective measures to ensure uninterrupted functioning of ATMs.
