Subject: Incorporation of DIGIPIN in Official Addressing Practices.

Dear Madam/Sir,

Kindly refer to letter of even no. dated 13.03.2026 for incorporation of DIGIPIN in official addressing practices followed by letter of even no. dated 09.04.2026 on the clarification regarding standard format of DIGIPIN issued by this Division.

In this regard, it has been decided by the Competent Authority that the adoption of DIGIPIN be extended to all Regional Offices and Divisional Offices under your jurisdiction. Necessary instructions may be issued to ensure incorporation of DIGIPIN in official addresses across all letterheads, communications, and digital interfaces at these levels. The web application available at https://dac.indiapost.gov.in/mydigipin/home may be accessed for generation of DIGIPIN.

A sample format of address incorporating the DIGIPIN and symbol is given below for guidance:

Room No. 215, Floor 2 Dak Bhawan, Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications º 39J 49LL 726.

It is also requested that an Action Taken Report in this regard may kindly be furnished to this Division by 15.05.2026.
