Subject: Clarification on extension of last date for submission of authorization forms for change of union membership –reg.

Madam/ Sir,

I am directed to refer No. BPEF/SG/2026 dated 2nd April 2026 on the subject cited above and to say that keeping in view of election held in various states and with the advice of the Department of Personnel & Training (DoP&T), a one-time relaxation has been allowed for the submission of authorization forms for change of union membership in respect of all Service Associations in the Department of Posts.

Accordingly, the last date for submission of authorization forms, which was earlier 30.04.2026, stands extended up to 31.05.2026.

All Heads of Circles are requested to circulate the above instructions to all concerned units/offices under their jurisdiction and ensure necessary action accordingly.
