Subject: Limited Departmental Competitive Examination/Competitive Examination for promotion/recruitment to the cadre of PA/SA for vacancy year 2026 – postponement of date by one week - regarding.

Ref:

(i) Dte letter no. DE-12/05/2026-DE-DOP dated 30.12.2025

(ii) Dte letter no. DE-12/05/2026-DE-DOP dated 23.04.2026

Sir,

I am directed to refer to the above mentioned letters and to state that the scheduled date of examination for the following two examinations has been postponed by one week. Accordingly, the examinations, earlier scheduled to be held on 21.06.2026, shall now be conducted on 28.06.2026 (Sunday) in all 23 Circles. All other terms and conditions, including remaining schedules, shall remain unchanged.

(i) Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) for promotion to the posts of Postal Assistant (Circle Office and Regional Offices), Postal Assistant (Post Office) and Sorting Assistant (Railway Mail Service) from eligible officials for the vacancy year 2026 (01/01/2026 to 31/12/2026).

(ii) Competitive Examination for recruitment to the cadre of Postal Assistants and Sorting Assistants from Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDSs) for the unfilled Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) for the vacancy year 2026 (01/01/2026 to 31/12/2026).

This may be brought to the notice of all concerned. The formal notification may be uploaded on the Departmental website i.e. www.indiapost.gov.in and Circle’s website, if any by the Circles.

This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority.
