Subject: Revision of transaction charges for Passport and PCC applications at Post Office Passport Seva Kendras (POPSKs) - reg.

Sir/Madam,

Kindly refer to this Directorate letter dated 19.02.2026 regarding revision of transaction charges for Passport and Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) applications at Post Office Passport Seva Kendras (POPSKs).

In this regard, the matter regarding revision of transaction charges was taken up with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). After mutual consultation, it has been agreed to revise the transaction charges with effect from 01.01.2026 by applying a 15% increase over the existing charges prescribed under Para 6.1 of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Accordingly, the revised transaction charges to be levied are as under:

All Circles are, therefore, requested to revise the invoices accordingly and ensure that the revised charges are adopted uniformly for all claims/invoices pertaining to the period w.e.f. 01.01.2026 onwards. Rounding off should not be done on single transaction, it may be done on the total amount.

This issues with the approval of competent authority.
