APS Enrolment – November 2026 Cycle: Key Highlights
Overview
The Army Postal Service (APS) has invited applications from eligible Inspectors of Posts (IPs), LSG Postal Assistants, Postal Assistants (PAs), and Sorting Assistants (SAs) of the Department of Posts for enrolment during the November 2026 cycle.

Eligibility Criteria
- Age below 40 years on the date of enrolment.
- Must be in SHAPE-I medical category.
- No disciplinary or vigilance case pending/contemplated.
- Only IPs, LSG PAs, PAs and SAs are eligible.
- Applications from PMs, Mail Guards and MTS officials will not be accepted.
Application Process
- Volunteers must submit applications through their Divisional Heads.
- Divisional Heads will scrutinize applications and forward recommended cases with supporting documents to APS Records.
- Eligible volunteers will undergo medical screening at designated Army Recruiting Offices (AROs/ZROs).
Equivalent APS Ranks
- IPs / LSG PAs → Naib Subedar (Nb Sub)
- PAs / SAs → Warrant Officer (WO)

- Option to choose Civil Pay or Army Pay.
