Fix for 'PKIX Path Building' Error During ECA Client Registration in Aadhaar Software

Please follow the below steps for registration failed due to network issue. If it shows ' PKIX path building ' in error logs.

File downloading: Via Google Chrome

Open UIDAI portal:

https://uidai.gov.in/

• Click on lock icon
• Click on view certificate
• Click on copy to file
• Then click on next and provide file name
• Then provide save location on desktop

Download Cerificate File

1. Download and Extract the attached Security Certificate UIDAI Portal.zip file to the PC with the issue.

2. Double click to open Security Certificate UIDAI Portal.cer file.

3. Certificate Information screen will be opened. Click 'Install Certificate'.

3. Select 'Local Machine' and click Next.

4. Select 'Place all certificates in the following store' and click 'Browse'.

5. Tick 'Show physical stores' checkbox.

6. In the folder tree displayed, select 'Third-Party' under 'Trusted Root Certification Authorities' and click 'Next'.

7. Click 'Finish' to complete installation and click 'OK'. Now register the ECA client again and check whether the issue has been resolved.
