Revised Account Opening and CIF Forms for Post Office Small Savings Schemes – Seeking Comments

This pertains to the revision of the Account Opening Forms currently used for opening accounts under the Post Office Small Savings Schemes.

As part of an effort to simplify the account opening process and eliminate the repeated collection of customer information, the existing form has been reviewed and a revised draft has been developed. The revised format consists of two separate parts:

Part I – Customer Information File (CIF):
This form is required to be completed only once during customer onboarding. It may also be updated whenever there is a change in the customer's existing CIF details.

Part II – Account Opening Form (AOF):
This form is to be used each time a customer opens a new account under any Small Savings Scheme.

A copy of the revised draft Customer Information File (CIF) and Account Opening Form (AOF) is enclosed for examination. Comments and suggestions, if any, may be submitted to the concerned Circle on or before 20.07.2026 (Monday).
