GDS Online Engagement Portal 2.0 – Board Verification SOP
Objective
To ensure that all educational board configurations in the GDS Online Engagement Portal 2.0 are accurate and verified by Circles before use in the engagement process. Circles must complete verification and submit reports within the prescribed timeline.
1. Access and Navigation
Prerequisites
- Assign role code “GOE-CO-CRUD” to the Circle Office user.
Steps
- Login to the Employee Portal.
- Select the “GDS Online” card.
- Open the “Board Verification” module.
- View the list of boards available for the respective Circle.
2. Board Verification Checklist
Circles must verify the following for every board:
Board Details
- Board Name
- Validity Period
- PWD Status
- Result Type (Marks/Grades/Points/Percentage)
Subject Configuration
- Number of subjects and subject names
- Optional/alternate subject dropdowns and names
- Maximum and minimum marks/grades/points for each subject
System Validation
- Ensure the portal rejects values beyond permitted limits.
- Test sample data entries.
- Verify total marks, percentage, and merit calculations.
- Confirm calculations match the board’s evaluation logic.
3. Test Case Execution
- Execute maximum possible test cases for each board.
- Report any discrepancies or logic issues immediately to CEPT.
- Submit a signed verification report after completion.
4. Addition of New Boards
For new board inclusion, Circles must provide:
- Board Name
- Validity Period
- PWD Status
- Result Type
- Subject details
- Optional subject details
- Merit calculation logic
- Specimen marksheet/board structure
CEPT will configure the board based on the submitted information.
5. Modification of Existing Boards
Changes such as:
- Subjects
- Languages
- Optional subjects
- Merit calculation logic
must be formally requested to CEPT with complete details.
6. Extension of Board Validity
Circles may update:
- Board Name (if required)
- Validity Period (“Effective To” year)
provided there is no change in board logic and confirmation is received from the concerned board.
Scenario 1
- Update only the Effective To Year (e.g., 2026).
Scenario 2
- Update both Board Name and Effective To Year simultaneously.
7. Deletion of Boards
- Requests for board deletion must be formally submitted to CEPT.
8. Submission of Verification Report
Circles must:
- Submit verification reports for all boards.
- Attach test case results.
- Obtain signature of the competent authority.
- Submit the declaration if no new boards are proposed.
Important
- Only verified boards will be available for the upcoming engagement schedule.
- Unverified boards will be removed from the portal.
- Responsibility for complaints regarding unavailable boards will rest with the concerned Circle.

- Raise a ticket through the Support Desk.
- Attach screenshots and detailed error descriptions.
