• Paper II (with Books): 02:00 PM – 05:00 PM

Eligibility Conditions

• Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants with at least 3 years continuous service.
• Must be declared permanent/quasi-permanent.
• Good service record for the last 3 years.
• Not eligible: PA (SBCO), PA (CO/RO), LSG officials.

Application Process

• Applications to be submitted by 01.10.2026 in prescribed proforma.
• Divisional Heads must verify eligibility and vacancy before issuing hall permits.
• Circle Office will notify permitted candidates by 23.10.2026.
• Two passport-size photos required (one attested, one retained).
• Improper or late applications will be rejected.

Pattern of Examination

• Two papers (with books), each of 100 marks.
• Each paper: 1/3 theoretical (30 marks) + 2/3 practical (70 marks).
• Compulsory questions included in both sections.
• Qualifying marks:
  • OC: 45% in each paper, 50% aggregate
  • SC/ST/PwBD: 38% in each paper, 43% aggregate
• Exemption: Officials scoring ≥60% in a paper are exempted from reappearing in that paper for the next two exams.
