Rollout of Temporary and Rotational Transfer Modules in APT 2.0

D.O. No.: CEPT-7/APT/Transfers/Dlgs Dated: 11.09.2026

Subject: This is regarding UAT/Rollout of Temporary and Rotational Transfer Modules in APT 2.0

As part of the initiative to reduce manual operations and implement software-based solutions for transfer-related employee operations, CEPT has developed the Temporary Transfer and Rotational Transfer modules in APT 2.0, in accordance with the existing rules and regulations.

The development of these modules is aimed at streamlining the transfer process, ensuring uniform application of the prescribed rules, reducing manual intervention and minimizing the possibility of errors in the processing of transfer cases.

In this regard, it is requested that the developed Temporary Transfer and Rotational Transfer modules may kindly be permitted for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in 2–3 Postal Divisions from different Circles facilitated by concerned functional division. Conducting UAT across Divisions belonging to different Circles will facilitate testing under varied operational scenarios and help identify any functional gaps, if any, before wider rollout.

The feedback and observations received during the UAT will enable CEPT to further optimize and refine the modules and make them fully functional and suitable for regular use by the Circles/Divisions through the APT 2.0 application.

Upon successful completion of the UAT, it is requested that necessary instructions may kindly be issued to the Circles/Divisions for adoption of the modules for processing Temporary and Rotational Transfers through APT 2.0.

Implementation of these modules will significantly reduce manual operations, improve efficiency and transparency in the transfer process, and minimize errors to the maximum possible extent.

Kindly issue necessary directions in the matter.

Yours sincerely, (Dr. Chandra Sekhar Kakumanu, IPOS) General Manager, CEPT, Bengaluru
