Department of Posts Announces 60 Days Productivity Linked Bonus for 2025–26

The Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications, Government of India, has sanctioned Productivity Linked Bonus equivalent to 60 days’ emoluments for the accounting year 2025–26 for the following categories:

• MTS, Group ‘C’ and non-gazetted Group ‘B’ employees.
• Regularly engaged Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDSs) – ex-gratia bonus.

Full-Time Casual Labourers, including Temporary Status Casual Labourers – ad-hoc bonus, subject to eligibility conditions.

Bonus Calculation:

• Regular Employees: Average monthly emoluments × 60 ÷ 30.4, subject to a monthly emoluments ceiling of ₹7,000.
• GDSs: Average monthly TRCA, including applicable Dearness Allowance, × 60 ÷ 30.4, subject to a monthly ceiling of ₹7,000.
• Casual Labourers: Eligible workers will receive ad-hoc bonus based on notional monthly wages of ₹1,200, subject to the prescribed eligibility conditions and calculation method.
• Employees and GDSs who served only part of the accounting year will receive proportionate bonus, wherever applicable. Specific provisions apply to employees under suspension, those with dies-non, and other eligible cases.

The bonus amount will be rounded to the nearest rupee and charged under the relevant “Rewards” head of account. Expenditure will be met from the sanctioned grant for 2026–27. Circles must compile and report category-wise payment details and expenditure to the Department.

The order has the approval of the Hon’ble Finance Minister and was issued by the P.A.P. Section, Department of Posts, New Delhi.
