Notification of PO & RMS Accountant Examination scheduled to be held on 15.11.2026 (Sunday).

In accordance with Directorate letter No. A‑34012/07/2022‑DE dated 02.12.2022 and orders of the Competent Authority, the PO & RMS Accountant Examination will be conducted on 15.11.2026 (Sunday). Applications are invited from willing and eligible candidates in the prescribed proforma (Annexure‑I).

Eligibility Conditions

• Must fulfill Rule 273 of Postal Manual Volume IV.
• Minimum three years of continuous service as Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant as of 23.10.2026, declared permanent or quasi‑permanent, with a good service record for the preceding three years.
• PA (SBCO), PA (CO/RO) and LSG officials are not eligible (as per Directorate letter No. 8‑1/2016‑SPB‑II dated 19.02.2019).
• Each candidate is allowed three chances; exemption applies for those scoring 60% or above in a paper for the next two exams.
• Eligible candidates from all Divisions/Units may appear irrespective of vacancy availability.
