Ministry of social justice invites applications for national award

The ministry of social justice and empowerment has invited applications for the national award for empowerment of persons with disabilities. The awards will be given under 14 categories like best employee with disabilities, best employer and placement officer or agency, best individual and institution working for the cause of person with disabilities, role model, best applied research or product development aimed at improving the life of persons with disabilities and others. Appeal to Cesc consumers: Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (Cesc) has requested consumers to furnish details like name and family members, age, cellphone numbers and e-mail address at any of the Cesc offices in Chamundipuram, NR Mohalla, Jyothinagar, Varuna, Kadakola and Siddalingapura or Cesc officials to provide details of monthly bills, power cuts, and other information on their cellphones.

Design stamps on Swachh Bharat: The department of posts has announced Swachh Bharat stamp design competition on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. Entries are invited for stamp design competition themed on Swachh Bharat. Prize-winning entries will be awarded cash prize. Selected entries will be considered for use as design on stamps and other philatelic materials to be released on Gandhi Jayanti (on October 2). Diploma in acting: Rangayana has invited applications for 'Ranga Shikshana', a one-year diploma course in acting. Candidates in 18-28 age group who have passed PU can apply before July 25.
