Guwahati.
Dear Comrade,
Sub: Non-supply of ATM cards to Tamilnadu Circle.
There has been no supply of ATM cards to Tamilnadu Circle for more than a year. The customers and the pensioners are put into lot of difficulties. They have to throng the post offices physically for withdrawal of money from SB account. The issue of non-availability of ATM cards in Post Offices was brought to the notice of the Chief PMG, Tamilnnadu Circle also. The Circle Office, in turn, had written to the Postal Directorate to supply ATM cards citing our letter addressed to the Chief PMG. But there is no reply from the Postal Directorate to the Tamilnadu Circle administration so far. Other Postal Circles may be experiencing the same problem and the issue may be a pan-India phenomenon.
Considering the difficulties of the customers as well as pensioners community and the damage caused to the image of the Department of Posts in the eyes of the public over the non-availability of ATM cards, it is requested that the issue may be taken up with the Postal Directorate to impress upon the need of the replenishment of exhausted stock of ATM cards in all Circles by taking steps on war footing. If this issue has been taken up by the CHQ with the Directorate already, a reminder may be sent.
With regards,
Yours fraternally,
(P.MOHAN) State Secretary
